The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Architectural Technician / Technologist to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse architectural projects and play a critical role in translating design intent into detailed, buildable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify architectural documents, including elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Develop solutions to technical and design challenges, following established standards and design guidelines.
• Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design strategies into architectural solutions and documentation.
• Support the project designer or senior professionals by developing, modifying, and reviewing drawings to ensure the design intent is clearly and accurately represented.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to deliver high-quality outputs on aggressive schedules.
• Assist in the development of project scope, planning, and service agreements during the contract phase.
• Translate planning concepts into comprehensible terms for clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
• Understand and apply client program requirements, standards, and policies in project deliverables.
• Create compelling 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings for internal and client review.
• Build physical or digital models for presentations and collaborative design reviews.
• Compile data and perform basic design calculations.
• Ensure compliance with OWMP International’s documentation standards and maintain proper archiving of project documents.
• May assist in construction administration, particularly in document management and coordination.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to interns and junior team members as needed.
• Actively contribute to fostering a green workplace by supporting sustainable work practices and policies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural practices.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other architectural design and documentation tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, building systems, and code compliance.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to resolve complex technical and design issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
