Bandar Seri Begawan Development Master Plan
OWMP collaborates with HOK International, one of the world’s largest design and planning consultancy firm together with various prestigious international firms to create a masterpiece for Bandar Seri Begawan.
The design refocuses development along the rivers, creating an active waterfront for recreation, leisure and cultural activities. At the same time, the design connects new commercial nodes that will reactivate development along the river.
The Central Business District is the main hub of finance, business education, and multinational headquarters, underpinning a diversification of the economy, oriented around the Malay Muslim Monarchy heritage.
That heritage is embodied in the historic places that have been preserved and responded to in a sensitive arrangement of new sustainable office and residential buildings.
New hotels and a revitalised waterfront will ensure that Bruneians will continue to be proud of the diversified business potential of the country – its focus at the confluence of Sungai Brunei and Sungai Kedayan.
